JUDGES CRITIQUE OF THE:-

MBTC CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
SUNDAY 2nd  AUGUST 2009
RESULTS & CRITIQUE

Dogs -Mrs J E Tuck (Nettleby)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee for inviting me to judge the dog classification at their 25th anniversary show, also my very able stewards Christine Horner, and Chris Wallace who did a great job with the organization of my ring.
Thanks to the exhibitors for their entry, I had quality in depth, and in some classes dogs had to go cardless which in other company would have been placed. Only having attended one show this year, I was amazed when looking at the catalogue much later, by how many of our winners were by the same sire. I was content with my dog line up, the quality of the dogs in the top classes was consistently high. Both the CC, the res CC winners and the Best Dog Puppy had the same sire, and the Best Puppy in show was a granddaughter, what a loss to the breed Co Writer is.
For Best in Show it was a very close decision, in the end the bitch just pipped the dog on front angulation, but what a pair, both in gleaming condition a credit to their owners. The bitch puppy just scored in front movement over the dog for Best Puppy in Show both very promising youngsters..
