Highest terrier entry, and what a turnout of quality exhibits, despite the very windy conditions, however I found three suspect mouths, and one kinked tail.


Puppy 9 (1a)

1 Newsome’s Kighill Ellie Ellie seven month grizzle bitch, with excellent thick jacket, good breadth of skull, strong jaw, big teeth, straight front, moved well for one so young. BP

2. Gregory’s Westmore Capalgo Time at Visrie, darker grizzle dog, with good length of body, thick pelt/jacket, typical head with dark neat ears.

3. Marr’s Redfox Robbie

Junior 14 (4a)

1. Pickering’s Picer Bright Idea JW(Ch not confirmed when schedule printed),lovely bitch in tip top condition, excellent pelt/grizzle jacket, super ottery head, with short muzzle, strong jaw, big teeth, typical expression, level topline carried well on the uneven ground, just the right amount of bone, well laid shoulders, good rib length, strong loins, neat feet, moved with drive. BOB

2. Johnson’s Karison Kamellia slightly finer in bone than 1, another bitch with a lovely border head, good body length, thick jacket, carroty tail, moved out well.

3. Thomas’s Byrons Greengrass

Novice 11

1. Patchett’s Chase Me If You Can, strong red grizzle dog, excellent muscle tone, spannable, broad skull, dark eye, neat dark ears, good jacket, moved well. 

2. Gigg’s Gameway Cranberry at Crichway, typical “old fashioned” type of border, sweetest head/ expression, dark muzzle/eye/ears, just enough bone, straight front.

Post Graduate 13 (4a)

1. Peacock’s Ragatam Harris JW, red grizzle dog in excellent condition, well muscled through-out, masculine head with strong jaws, correct bite, short dark muzzle, good dentition, neat ears well placed, thick pliable pelt covered with double jacket, easily spanned, good body length, moved well, close decision for BOB, front movement was deciding factor. RBOB

2. Pickering’s Picer Polyanthus JW, B/t bitch, well balanced, lovely head, with typical expression, neatly placed ears, straight front, didn’t have the jacket of 1, moved well.

3. Bryan & Pounder’s Hemlockstone Jinni Sh cm.

Limit 10 (4a)

1. Baxter’s Beenaben Bengeo, dog with strong masculine head, keen dark eye, excellent bone, good body length, well set on hocks, neat feet, shown in good wiry jacket, moved well.

2. Marr’s Ruelata Acrobat at Redfox, dog not as strong in head as 1, lovely body length, neat feet, also moved well.

3. Johnson’s Karison Kasper

Open 7 (4a)

1. Wade’s Partridgedale Jasmine, very attractive light grizzle bitch, beautiful head, excellent bone, straight front, shown in the thickest of jackets, which made her look heavy/cobby, spannable and of the correct weight, short carroty tail, moved out well.

2. Johnson’s Rexlands Red Start, dog well up on the leg, different type to 1, strong in head, with keen expression, short of coat, heavier than he looked.
